Why Use Eagle Bridge™ Trailers?
Why is the Eagle Bridge Conveyor Trailer, the most
commonly used trailer for delivery of almost any bulk
commodity across the U. S.? PROFITS!
For
the truck operator to continue to be profitable in
this field he must have a trailer that will haul the
biggest possible payloads, in the least amount of time,
at the lowest possible over-all cost.
Trinity Trailer Mfg., Inc., since inventing and patenting
our trailer in 1975, has excelled in hauling bulk commodities
longer than any conveyor trailer manufacturer. With
careful study and persistence 30 years later we’ve virtually perfected
the Eagle Bridge Trailer for hauling all commodities, including wet grain feeds. We,
at Trinity Trailer, know that delivering many commodities requires hauling the
heaviest loads on the roughest county roads, while absorbing this punishment
without breaking! The trailer also needs to unload
as quickly as possible allowing the driver to get an
extra load hauled for the day. For some products like
fertilizer and some wet feeds, corrosion is one of the biggest concerns
and can, in the long run, result in the highest maintenance costs. The ultimate
trailer should also be corrosion resistant.
For over two decades
the Eagle Bridge trailer has proudly supplied many
unique features:
1) The frameless, steel trailer
design allows the trailer to flex and twist
as the ground surface demands, saving the trailer from
breaking up. Trinity's competitors try to make their rigid, aluminum trailers
work in the same environment without the same success.
2) Much higher payload advantages are gained with the Trinity Trailer
because our trailers have always been lighter weight than
any of our competitors, as much as a ton lighter in
some cases. And, the shape of the Trinity
Trailer bin is known to hold more cubic feet of materials.
3) 30 Years experience of efficient design is reflected in easy, fast
unload times, allowing the driver to go for
that extra daily load. Their
newest, 48” belt width trailer unloads in less than 4 minutes, and after
unloading does not need to be swept or scraped of sticky products.
4) With corrosion being the biggest concern for many haulers, Trinity comes
out on top again, having the only stainless steel belt
trailer in the industry. Acids and corrosive chemicals take their toll
on aluminum as well as on carbon steel (aluminum oxidizes as quickly as carbon
steel). We understood this when we introduced a stainless steel (most
resistant, usable metal to corrosion) upgrade
on the belt trailers in 1979. In
2002 we started finishing the stainless trailers without paint, making it the
easiest of all commodity trailers to keep looking good, and to maintain structural
strength and additional years of care free service.
The Eagle Bridge Trailer is
known in the industry as the most reliable, efficient,
and lightest weight self unloading trailer available. In
addition, repeat buyers report the trailers to be the
simplest and easiest to maintain. The
entire trailer and all components are exposed and reachable
for easy access and servicing, saving owners time and
labor costs. The trailer flexes and twists
freely on rough roads and uneven ground so there is
reduced stress and no break up to the structure, again
reducing maintenance time and cost. There are
no concealed cavities or compartments where ice or
mud can build up (which
adds weight) on bad weather days, so you don’t
lose payload capacity when the weather turns bad,
and you don't lose more time trying to remove mud
or ice accumulation.
Finally, try to find a used Eagle Bridge Trailer;
they are in such high demand that the used ones are
often sold outright before they can be advertised for
sale. This high demand for used Eagle Bridge Trailers
drives their resale value higher than just about any trailer on the used market,
giving owners the best possible return on investment over the longest period
of time. Some
customers have even reported selling their 8 or 9 year old Eagle Bridge for as
much as they originally paid for it!
Many trailers have been tried
with sticky sludges or wet feeds. The shuffle
type floor trailer is a poor performer in wet feeds because the product is so
fine and flaky, and corrosion damage on a shuffle floor consumes a great deal
of time and cost. To use a shuffle floor you must allow time for sweeping
the entire trailer, after you’ve waited fifteen or twenty minutes for the
unloading cycle, or spend the same amount of time to tarp the floor on each trip
before loading. End dump trailers require stable ground under them to be
raised, making them nearly useless in a feed yard. And end dumps usually
have a problem with wet grains sticking around the cylinder house which increases
the ever-present risk of tip-over. Some operators have tried grain hopper
trailers for gluten and brewer grains with poor results. The wet, sticky
product will seldom flow out of the hopper, so the driver ends up digging it
out from underneath.
Why is the Eagle Bridge the most popular bulk commodity trailer? High
resale, low maintenance, fast unloading, more product hauled, less driver downtime
